Stories
Knowing some
good stories to tell can be useful in many ways. They might help to
pass the time...err, buy some time until your next beating...or can serve
as inspiration when times get tough.

And their hearts but once heaved, and forever grew still."
George Gordon Byron, The Destruction of Sennacherib
- "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of
things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic

and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions
of better men than himself."
John Stuart Mill
- "Out of every 100 men, ten shouldn't even be

Cadence Calls
There are some great cadence calls listed on this
website link.
Here are a couple of the better ones:
Chief and Superman
Now Superman was the man of steel,
But he ain't no match for a Navy SEAL.
Now Chief and Supe, they got in a fight:
Chief hit him in the head with some kryptonite.
Supe fell to his knees in pain--
Now chief is dating Lois Lane.
Well Chief and Batman had one too,
Chief hit him in the head with his shoe.
Hit him in the temple with his left heel,
Now Chief is driving the Batmobile.
Had a Dog Whose Name Was Blue
I had a dog whose name was Blue,
He wanted to be a SEAL, too!
So I bought him a mask and four tiny little fins
Took him to the ocean and threw him in
Blue came back to my surprise
With a shark in his teeth and a gleam in his eyes.
